In order to thoroughly implement the Food Safety Law of the People’s Republic of China and its implementing regulations, and to assist relevant food industry organizations and professionals in accurately understanding and applying the newly revised National Food Safety Standard General Rules for the Labeling of Prepackaged Foods (GB 7718-2025) and other recently issued national standards, the Department of Food Safety Standards, Risk Surveillance and Assessment of the National Health Commission, together with the China National Center for Food Safety Risk Assessment (CFSA), will jointly organize an online training session on national food safety standards in the near future.
I. Training Topics
(i) National Food Safety Standard – General Rules for the Labeling of Prepackaged Foods (GB 7718-2025)
The training will focus on the background of the revision, major technical changes, transitional arrangements, and key compliance considerations. Core topics include food definitions, labeling requirements, allergen labeling requirements, and the application of digital labels.
(ii) National Food Safety Standard – Standard for Uses of Additives in Food Contact Materials and Articles (GB 9685)
The session will introduce the scope of use, maximum usage limits, and key compliance management requirements for additives used in food contact materials and articles.
(iii) National Food Safety Standard – Disinfected Tableware (Dining Utensils) (GB 14934)
The training will cover technical requirements relating to physicochemical indicators, microbiological limits, and testing methods for disinfected tableware and dining utensils.
